In autumn, the All-Russian Decorative Art Museum will host an unprecedented exhibition of contemporary lacquer art. The exposition will include works by members of the Creative Group "4+1", created over the past 25 years. The best masters of their generation - Denis and Daniil Molodkins, Evgeny Tselikov, Mikhail Komarov, Vladimir Kalinin and Irina Ilyina - will present four main schools of Russian lacquer miniatures - Mstyora, Palekh, Kholui and Fedoskino. Their work, different in style, artistic methods and techniques, has one thing in common - the search for new ways of miniature painting in today's rapidly changing world, the relevance of themes, the development of non-standard forms of objects, a new look at traditional subjects and rethinking the great heritage of lacquer crafts for their preservation and further development.
