The round table is timed to the museum's landmark exhibition and educational project "In the Name of Crafts. Traditional Russian artistic industries".
The round table will discuss a wide range of issues relating to the museum's place and role in the creation of an ecosystem of art productions and creative industries.
The main topics are:
- The historical experience of interaction between the museum and folk art industries
- The place and role of a museum in creating an ecosystem of art production and creative industries
- Presenting and popularising folk art and crafts: how to make projects interesting and comprehensible to a contemporary visitor?
The form of participation includes online or offline presentation followed by publication of an article or theses as well as participation by correspondence with publication of the material in a collection of articles.
The time limit is 15 minutes.
Applications for participation in the Round Table will be accepted until September 30, 2023 by e-mail: irinshalugin@yandex.ru.
Submissions for publication will be accepted until 1 December 2023 and will be published in the roundtable collection in 2024.
