Elena Titova, director of the All-Russian Decorative Art Museum: “This year, 940 applications from the designers coming from 5 countries and 75 cities, working both in traditional and experimental techniques, using, for example, artificial intelligence, were submitted to the contest. I was especially pleased with the items interweaving Design and Art, as well as with the examples of Studio Design made of recycled materials. Here a sustainable approach combined with the author’s artistic vision is resulting in unusual solutions.”
The selection took place in two stages: by the curators of the nominations and the Expert Council - according to general criteria: originality, sustainibility, egronomics, quality, feasibility and product cost. A special criteria for new nominations was also introduced: ethics, aesthetics, ability to work with artificial intelligence.
