The All-Russian Decorative Art Museum at the Fashion and Design Forum "New Meanings. Oil, Circumpolar Stones and Archaic Codes" and the International Art Residence of Folk Art and Design.

24 - 26 May the All-Russian Decorative Art Museum will take part in the International Art Residence of Folk Art and Design "Craft. Yugra. Design" and the Fashion and Design Forum "New Meanings. Oil, circumpolar stones and archaic codes".

The events are organised by the Centre of Folk Arts and Crafts of Ugra (Khanty-Mansiysk) the regional partner of the IV competition-biennale of object design "Designed and Made in Russia" - and will be held under the auspices of the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO.

The Art Residency programme is aimed at strengthening the identity and promoting the culture of peoples through the creative industries. Experts will discuss the possibilities of forming a new code in fashion, design and crafts through rethinking the basis of traditions, ethnic features and their adaptation to modernity.

As part of the Forum, Anastasia Krylova, Head of the Fashion and Design Centre, and Ksenia Nazemtseva, Head of the Department of Scientific, Methodological and Educational Activities of the All-Russian Decorative Arts Museum , will talk about the IV Biennale Competition of Object Design "Designed and Made in Russia" and the museum's projects to identify, preserve and promote the heritage of fashion and design.

The event will take place in Khanty-Mansiysk on the territory of the Art Residence "On the Bank" (1 Georgiy Velichko Street).
