We invite you to take a look at the exhibition ‘Bogatyr of the Russian Land. The Image of the Hero in National Decorative and Applied Art’ through the eyes of its curator.
Ekaterina Kaplina will talk about the epic and real images of bogatyrs through the prism of decorative and applied art. Ceramic and metal works, glass and wood compositions, a variety of lacquer miniatures and fabrics, as well as paintings fully reflect the image of a brave warrior defending his homeland.
You will learn about the bogatyrs and the qualities that help them perform feats, as well as about historical figures whose heroism is concentrated in the images of decorative art.
