We invite guests and residents of the capital to learn how artists and masters of decorative and applied arts depicted the epic heroes who protected the borders of the ancient Russian state, using the best examples from the museum's collection, private collections and partner organisations. Following the curators' concept, you will follow the bogatyr's path and learn how the main features of a true bogatyr of the Russian land are revealed through plots and symbols: spiritual and physical strength, wit and prudence, love for the native land and a sense of unity with one's people. This journey into the past will allow you to trace the transformation of the image of the epic hero — from characters in epics and fairy tales to defenders of the faith and the fatherland in the XVIII–XX centuries in works of decorative and applied art.

Admission tickets to exhibitions, permanent exhibitions or complex tickets are purchased separately according to the visitor category.

Admission tickets to the permanent exhibition can be purchased at the museum ticket office on the day of the tour, according to the visitor category.
