DISCUSSION PLATFORM OF THE ALL-RUSSIAN DECORATIVE ART MUSEUM AND THE SCHOOL OF DESIGN OF NIU VSCE

The All-Russian Decorative Art Museum and the School of Design of the National Research University of the Higher School of Economics organise a discussion platform on sustainable strategies and circular design. On 29 April in the creative space CREATIVE HUB experts in the field of sustainable design and economy, founders and representatives of various brands and designers will speak.

The transition to a circular economy and the realisation of sustainable development goals require new approaches and solutions from Russian companies at all stages of product creation, in which design plays a key role. It is not only about the use of recycled and biodegradable materials, but also about the strategic influence of design on the transformation of business models and society. Moving from individual steps to systematicity is the challenge of contemporary design.

Discussion of programmes, manifestos and initiatives on sustainable development and circular economy in Russia.

Organisers:

The All-Russian Decorative Art Museum is a topical space where the experience and traditions of decorative arts serve as a starting point for communication and creativity. Since 2017, the Museum has hosted the Centre for Fashion and Design, which conducts educational activities in the field of creative industries, sustainable development, industry policy and design diplomacy, deals with the museification of design objects and the development of the first state fund of object design in the country.

 

The School of Design of the National Research University Higher School of Economics is a division of the Higher School of Economics and a leading educational institution in the field of design, fashion and art in Russia. We teach modern design and art skills, teach the main secret of success - not to act according to a template, but to think systematically, create concepts, make decisions, know the rules of the profession in order to break them better than anyone else.
