The museum today is a space that resonates with the contemporaneity, a space in which the practices and traditions of decorative arts serve as a starting point for communication and creativity. The main vectors of development of the All-Russian Decorative Art Museum are preservation and promotion of the collection of items of decorative, applied and folk arts from different regions of Russia; international exhibition projects; raising the visitors’ awareness of decorative arts through interactive programs; a new interpretation of the collection by modern designers.
