FROM GZHEL TO BALKHAR. CERAMIC ART

Porcelain sculpture and coloured majolica from Gzhel, mysterious ceramics from the Dagestani village of Balkhar, the bright painted world of Dymkovo toys, fantastic vessels with dragons and lions from Skopin - the art of ceramics in Russia in all the variety of techniques, forms and decorations will be shown to the participants of the programme during the "journey" through the ancient art centres. Many of those centers have been revived or opened to the public already in the twentieth century, thanks to the leading scientists, artists and craftsmen who have managed to preserve ancient craft traditions to the present day. Most of the works have been exhibited at international and Russian exhibitions, invariably arousing interest and admiration for their high artistic level. After the tour, all participants will be able to try their hand at being a crafts artist by proposing their own project of a ceramic product.

 

Duration - 1 hour and 45 minutes.
The cost for a group of up to 15 people - 6 900 roubles.
The cost for a group of up to 15 people (persons up to 16) + 1 chaperone - 6 900 rubles.
The cost for a group of up to 10 people - 4 800 rubles.
The cost for a group of up to 5 people - 2 650 rubles.
Entrance ticket to exhibitions, permanent exposition is purchased separately according to the visitor's category.
All interactive programmes of the "Secrets of the Crft" cycle are adapted for groups of visitors with disabilities.
The cost of interactive programmes for persons with disabilities:
The cost is 300 rubles for 1 participant of the 1st and 2nd group disabled person, disabled child and one accompanying person (not less than 5 participants).
Entrance ticket to the museum for exhibitions, permanent exposition for a disabled person of the 1st and 2nd group, a disabled child and one accompanying person are included in the cost of the programme.
