We invite to the first on-line discussion "Design criticism: forecasts for the future" within the III Biennale "Invented and made in Russia".
We will work with art historians, journalists and communication specialists to discuss design criticism in Russia: how does it relate to the goals of the industry and professional community? Is it true that the modern language of criticism is a departure from the academic style to populism? Is there any place for serious analysis in industry media? What prevails in design journalism: criticism or advertising promotion (pr-criticism)? What do blogging and criticism have in common? Experts' opinion on what a competitive design product should be: evaluation criteria.
