The collection of Russian jewellery art in our museum includes a great variety of forms: jewellery, buttons, religious items and their details, such as crosses, mortars, fragments of icon and bible covers, lamp holders; various drink ware, snuffboxes and caskets, decorative and dishware forms, and much more.

Works of Russian silversmiths of the XVII-XVIII centuries embody and reflect the best traditions of Russian jewellery crafts of previous periods, which formed the basis for the Russian jewellery school of the XIX-XX centuries and echoed in the art of the Soviet period.

Of particular pride in this collection are unique creations by such Russian firms as I. Sazikov, K. Faberge, P. Ovchinnikov, I. Khlebnikov, represented in large forms. These works clearly display the national characteristics of Russian art of the age of historicism and Art Nouveau.
