In the heart of the winter capital, among the exquisite halls of the Decorative Art Museum, a traditional Christmas fair will be held for two days in December. The corridors of the museum will turn into alleys and boulevards with vintage stalls, the balcony hall into an ancient square decorated with elegant Christmas decorations. Guests strolling along the improvised streets of the fair will enjoy the atmosphere of bistros, taste delicacies and discover new gastronomic combinations. Here, every corner is filled with flavours and images reminiscent of the best traditions of welcoming the New Year and Christmas. The exquisite festive flavour can be felt in every tasting, in every spicy sip, in every conversation with the masters of culinary and decorative arts.
The fair offers the finest culinary creations, from melt-on-the-tongue croissants and cakes to rare cheeses, foie gras, terrines and pates, snails and oysters. Each guest will find a gift for themselves and their loved ones among the author's handmade Christmas tree toys, table setting items, accessories, vintage and decorative art objects.
A diverse Christmas programme with master classes, excursions and meetings with artists will reach out to everyone. We will plunge into the festive mood by creating a fragrant traditional pine Christmas wreath and our own author's Advent calendar, making its imprint on a shopper bag and kraft paper. Together with an expert we will make a journey through the halls of the museum into the object world of the XVIII - early XIX century nobility, and get acquainted with the brilliant epoch of classicism and Empire, the epoch of luxurious winter balls and private chamber evenings, talk about design, tell how Russian art conquered Paris, draw ‘à la russe’ and much more.
Entrance to the Christmas Fair is by session and by Entrance Ticket to exhibitions, permanent exhibitions of the Museum and to the Christmas Fair at the Museum. Visiting the exhibitions and temporary exhibitions of the Museum is included in the ticket price.

Entrance ticket to exhibitions, permanent expositions of the museum and to the Christmas Fair costs 150 roubles. BUY TICKET
For certain categories of visitors the Entrance ticket to the exhibitions, permanent expositions of the museum and the Christmas Fair is free of charge:
/ visitors under 16 years of age;
/ large families;
/ non-working disabled persons of the 1st and 2nd groups, disabled children;
/ veterans of military operations and participants of special military operations;
Other preferential categories can be found in the Price List. You can buy a privileged ticket only at the museum ticket office upon presentation of a document confirming the privilege.
